Debut author Lorna Roth grew up with her roots firmly planted in the countryside. She quickly spread her wings to live and work in both Australia and Los Angeles; the latter giving her a career in the unusual world of international horse transport. Post career, she returned to the UK where a sense of humour was essential when combining the demands of motherhood with the rigours of living on a small Suffolk council farm.
Her creative bent draws on a quirky mixture of her experiences with the unpredictability of people, life and animals. The plot for Kick-Start took shape after she was regaled with the escapades of her less than young, single friends. Lorna prides herself on funny, outside the box humour to describe complicated emotional situations. Her mission is to relay the joys, vivid characters and graphic realities which go hand-in-hand with living in rural East Anglia
